The Problem
Approximately 3,000 families currently live in and around RR7, with the population expected to grow to nearly 20,000 families over the next two years. Buses travelling from Nallagandla towards Kollur use the Alien Space Station road and do not pass through RR7. Residents depend on private vehicles, taxis or auto-rickshaws, resulting in higher travel costs, longer walking distances, multiple transport changes and difficulty reaching workplaces, schools, hospitals and markets. The gap also increases private-vehicle usage, congestion and fuel consumption.
Our Action
Service for Society collected resident inputs along the RR7 corridor and prepared a one-page representation setting out ridership demand, the current routing gap and specific service timings needed by commuters, students, senior citizens, women, domestic workers and small traders.
Representation
Submitted on 29 August 2026 to the Hon'ble Minister for Transport, Government of Telangana, requesting that suitable Nallagandla–Kollur buses be routed through RR7 or a dedicated RTC service introduced, with a minimum of three morning services (around 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM) and three evening services (around 5:00 PM, 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM), an early route and ridership feasibility assessment, identification of safe bus stops, publication of route and timing information, and periodic review of frequency as occupancy grows.
Follow-up
S4S and local residents have offered to assist with community inputs, proposed boarding points, resident signatures and coordination for a field assessment by RTC officials.
